According to him, the purpose behind this initiative, is to develop talent from the existing pool of school going kids by working on business ideas proposed by them. MCDEVCO will be assisted in this venture by Junior Achievement, a charitable organization offering business education ideas and opportunities in educational institutions. The organizations have set up two scholarships of $1000 each for the students of the local schools with the best plans, based on their business ideas. The students would have to give a dissertation summarizing their idea which would include a proposed budget, marketing strategies, building up of the business and purchasing plans.

Students of Idea Charter School have already completed a seven week course ending 31st January to arm themselves with skills in business ideas. One of the students, Sal Skare an 8th grader is working on manufacture of holographic computer monitors and hopes to win the scholarship. Others like Aaliya Smith have taken the course as a learning experience and are keen to participate in the competition even though as in the case of Aaliya she is set on taking up medicines as a career.
